Our Values

Authentic Spirituality

(I Peter 2:4-6;9)
We must be honest and authentic in our relationship with God and each other. We experience growth when we practice spiritual disciplines, and fellowship with other Disciples communities and individuals. We are honest. We walk in integrity, and truth in action. We worship together, communion, and outreach. We are spiritually contagious.

(Philippians 2:5)
Be in relationship with one another, created by God. God seeks to be in relationship with us. We value one another and see Christ in each other. Accepting each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. Spiritual Disciplines, prayer, worship, and reflections

Justice and Outreach

(Micah 6:8)
Micah 6:8 - Act justly and to love mercy & walk humbly with your God. Faith without works is dead. All humans bring have sacred worth and are created in God's image. Whatever you do for the least of these. Golden Rule & The Lease of These. We focus on the marginalized.

(II Timothy 1:7)
Every Christian can understand scripture and relate to God in his/her own way. Every person's beliefs has merit and deserves respect; We do not need to understand scriptures to value others. We listen to one another and seek mutual understanding.

(Luke 10:27)
Luke 10:27 - God is love and God calls us to love. "And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself." We are all a part of God's family. We seek to be led by the Holy Spirit & not our own ego or self-interests. We show human dignity and worth to God's people.

Inclusivity & Diversity

(Galatians 3:26-28)
We are stronger when we include the diverse strengths and perspectives of all of our members and congregations. All churches should be inclusive. Christ Welcomes all to the table. We practice active listening and proactively reach out to others. All are welcome at our open table. We are all embracing and practice open communion.

(Psalm 80:9)
Every person in every conversation has a right to full knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the Region. The more we relate to one another, we can be more successful with our Mission. The more informed people are, the more likely they are to be accepting, with a seamless network and commitment. We recognize that we need to use all modes of communication to function as a body. We broaden databases on a regional level. We re-examine best practices on multiple platforms.

The Great Commission

(Matthew 28:19-22)
We are called to spread and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. We plans seeds of transformation in individuals and communities, to allow others to experience a relationship with Jesus Christ. We extend the gospel message from our boundaries to the ends of the earth. Witnessing in our daily walk.   We are encouraged, on fire and passionate about  impacting lives.

(Hebrews 11:1)
Jesus is central to all that we do and how well live; Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Faith keeps us grounded in our relationships with God and others. We love and nurture one another. We also support spiritual formation and development of God's people.
